The time from acceptance of quotation until receipt of sample is usually 2-4 weeks. The time from approval of sample until receipt of production for the first order is usually 120-150 days.Subsequent orders are usually 70-100 days.

Shandong Nanshan Orders 14 Extrusion Presses

SMS Meer received an order from China’s Shandong Nanshan Aluminium Co. Ltd. for the supply of 14 light-metal extrusion presses. The new presses cover the press force range of 11 MN to 150 MN. They are used to produce standard structural profiles, seamless aluminum tubes and heavy industrial profiles. SMS Meer front-loading extrusion presses offer high machine availability, large billet charge weights and safe loading procedure. Commissioning is scheduled for late 2011 or early 2012.

Shandong Nanshan is the leading manufacturer of extruded aluminum products in China. With this order, the company will have a total of 28 modern extrusion presses in operation. The 150-MN extrusion press is already the second front-loading press from SMS Meer of this size to be supplied to the Chinese province of Shandong.
